The Yaak River Watershed and Proposed Climate Refuge
Northwestern Montana. Inside the Yaak River watershed, the proposed Climate Refuge (light purple) would protect the low-elevation, moisture-rich old forest including the Black Ram region — the coldest, wettest corner of the valley.
